Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) continues to make efforts to improve the quality of graduates. One of them is increasing the lecturers’ pedagogic competence, which is done through a workshop on 28 April 2022.
In this offline and online activity, the preparation of learning tools became the topic raised. The material consists of project, case, and problem-based learning. The presenters were
Agus Nugroho, S.T., M.T from Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) and Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Parwati, M.Pd from Undiksha.
This activity was opened by the Head of the Undiksha Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LPPPM), Prof. Dr. I Made Ardana, M.Pd. He said that improving the quality of graduates is a serious concern for Undiksha. Graduates are expected to be superior, have high competence, and have good character. This is reflected in the Main Performance Indicators (KPI) of universities, namely being able to get a decent job, continue to higher education, and create jobs through entrepreneurship.
In order to achieve this, Ardana emphasized that superior lecturers must support it, having a good competence, both pedagogically, socially, and others. This workshop is expected to be a medium to make it happen.
“In this activity, we discuss learning tools in the hope of adding insight related to the field of pedagogic competence,” he explained.
Furthermore, the material given in this workshop is to build a collaborative, responsive or participatory class. This ability is very important to be possessed by graduates, especially in the era of technology.
