The Vice-Rector, Rasben Dantes, appreciated the students for their desire to seek new experiences in other countries. “I am very proud of the students who want to explore experiences abroad through this programme,” he said. The student is also asked to maintain the good name of the university by behaving according to Tri Hita Karana philosophy and showing high integrity in the internship. “Tri Hita Karana is not only applied in Bali, but also outside, so that there really is a harmonization of the lives of our students in a new place,” he said.
Meanwhile, one of the overseas street vendors, Putu Indah Sonia Dewi, expressed her interest in living in another country to add new experiences. “Yes, apart from being interested because I heard stories from my seniors, I also want to add new experiences related to street vendors, and of course to add friends and to hone my skills both in English and the field that I am involved in. And also want to know the culture of other countries, especially their daily life, “said this Accounting Study Programme student.
Asked about her hopes for the future, Indah said that through this programme, the opportunity to get the job she wanted would be wider. “After participating in the PKL-LN, it can definitely be useful for yourself, especially in getting a job because there are street vendors experience abroad. And hopefully in the future, more students will be able to join this programme,” she concluded. (hms)
