In addition to fielding educational programme students in the PPL Programme, Undiksha also has a PKL (Field-Work Experience) programme for Vocational programme students. As a form of application of knowledge that has been forged at the university, students of vocational study programmes at Undiksha conduct PKL or internships in the real world of work.
Starting from the assumption that Field-Work Experience Programme (PKL) is the point of accumulation of all educational programmes that have been lived and experienced by students in college, PKL can be interpreted as a programme which is a self-development training event to strengthen knowledge, attitudes, skills and responsibilities. as a professional. Dr. I Wayan Mudana, M.Sc. as the Head of the PKL Center stated, “Students will practice as professional workers in the real world of work”. He also emphasized that students will do practical work or internships in work agencies that are really related to their study programmes. “We are also working on a place to practice in accordance with the interests of students,” he added.
For this year, Undiksha held 2 periods of PKL. For the even semester period, Undiksha fielded 183 students to 68 institutions from 10 Diploma Programmes at Undiksha. Meanwhile, for odd semesters, 83 students do street vendors to 33 agencies. For this odd semester, the Vocational Study Programme for Sports Coaching Education, Hospitality Management and PKK will be followed. Meanwhile, the S-1 Law Department sent 98 students to conduct Field-Work Experience Programme in legal institutions in Bali.
The PKL programme is implemented in line with the establishment of cooperation between Undiksha and institutions in Bali, making it easier for Undiksha students to carry out structured and scheduled internships according to the level of need. And it is hoped that students will benefit as expected through this PKL Programme.
