Singaraja, September 22, 2024 – The Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) continues to show its commitment to improving the quality of teaching through various strategic efforts. One of the important steps taken is to establish international cooperation with the Instituto Ciências Da Saúde (ICS) Dili, Timor Leste, in the form of pedagogical training for lecturers at the institution.
The training, which took place in two periods, namely August 26-31 and September 18-21, 2024, aims to equip lecturers at ICS Dili with modern pedagogical skills that are relevant to today’s educational needs. In addition to improving teaching competence, this activity is also designed to support innovative and quality learning at the university level.
The activity was opened by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. he emphasized that this collaboration is the first step of long-term collaboration between the two institutions. “We hope that this activity will not only provide direct benefits for lecturers in Timor Leste, but also open up opportunities for wider collaboration in the field of education between Indonesia and Timor Leste,” he said.
During the training, the Expert Team from LPMPP Undiksha delivered various materials that included active learning methods, competency-based curriculum development, and effective learning evaluation. The participants were also given the opportunity to discuss directly and conduct teaching simulations to strengthen their understanding of the concepts taught.

In his remarks, he expressed his great appreciation for the implementation of this training. “We are very grateful to the team from Undiksha who have shared their knowledge and experience in the field of education. We believe that this training will have a positive impact on the development of education in Timor Leste,” he said.
Through this training, it is hoped that lecturers at ICS Dili will be able to apply modern pedagogical principles in the learning process, so that the quality of education in Timor Leste can continue to develop. In addition, this collaboration is expected to open the door for other cooperation that can benefit both countries in the field of higher education.
LPMPP Undiksha itself is committed to continuing to expand the reach of its international cooperation to encourage the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning in various educational institutions, both at home and abroad. With this activity, Undiksha further strengthens its role as an institution that focuses on developing quality education and international standards.
