On Thursday, March 7^th 2019 was the first time that I did teaching practicum. I taught students who are in Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education. I did teaching practicum in General English Class at number of classroom is A106. That’s started at 1-3 periods or at 7:00 am till 9:40 am. This class was started in the morning and I went to university at 6:45 am to do some preparation before teaching.

After I arrived at classroom, I prepared all of media needed such as laptop, screen, LCD, and also speaker. Teaching practicum was started. The first person who did teaching practicum was my friend. She got time for teaching was 50 minutes, I was too. She taught about Vocabulary and Conversation. Time flies so fast, next is my turn to teach students. I got topic about Grammar. I think it is so difficult, but I have to teach it well.

I started class by saying Good Morning, but at that time few of students respond. Then, I moved to next activity as an ice breaker. I asked students to follow all of movement in video. I played video entitle “If You Happy and You Know It”. Students followed all of movements and showed happiness during the activity. Next, I asked students some questions which related to topic. Some students answered the questions very enthusiastic. I also gave confirmation about their answers which one is right or wrong. After that, I explained a little bit about the topic. I explained about modal speculation. I started the topic from definition, function, and also how to use the grammar.

I also gave students a small task to know student’s comprehension about material. I asked students to answer questions one by one. All of students can answer it. Then, I moved to next activity which was giving task again. I gave task in their handbook. They can answer all of questions.

The next activity was very interesting. I divided them into 4 groups. I spread some sentences and asked them to find the meaning of sentences. Then, I asked them to make a line and wrote the speculation based on the pictures that I showed to them. They just chosen the sentences were provided as speculations that were suitable with pictures. All of students were happy. The winner of this game was Group 3. I gave them a special gift and asked to the captain of group to share with his friends. I closed teaching with making summary the topic.
