On August 7, 2019, we were invited to the Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) campus to attend the welcoming ceremony. We departed from the dormitory to the UBU campus around 9.30 a.m. by using the campus bus and arriving there at around 10:30 a.m., upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the assistant president of the UBU International Relations Office, Prof. Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, he gave some information about Ubon Ratchathani University, expressed his hopes for the collaboration program, and gave us souvenirs. UBU was very pleased with our arrival because they hoped that with our arrival, the international cooperation between UBU and Undiksha which had been established would become increasingly close as well as a venue for cultural exchange between Indonesia and Thailand.
After the welcoming ceremony, we were invited to tour the campus by bus followed by a tour around the city and visiting two temples namely Wat Thung Si Mueang and Wat Nong Bua to pray and ask for protection during our stay in Ubon. After doing a tour around the city, we were invited to the shopping center to shop for the equipment we needed while in Ubon, after finishing shopping for needs at Ubon we were delivered back to the dormitory, but before we were invited to the traditional market, Chareon Sri Market which is located close to dormitory to shop for food for dinner. It’s a very valuable experience to be here.
